What is Design Up Asia?

Design Up Asia is the latest online jewelry destination in Singapore. The brand, newly launched in March 2013, provides a bijoux collection of fashionable handmade jewellery. The semi-precious pieces are all lovingly handmade by marginalised women who have limited access to formal paid employment.

Why does it not sound like a jewellery brand?

Design Up Asia started after the founders emerged winners in UP Singapore Hackathon organised by Newton Circus and The Arthur Guinness Fund. We were inspired by the UP in UP Singapore and wanted to allow the element of design to be introduced in our customisation feature(in the near future).

Is to safe to order online?

Definitely! Design Up Asia uses Paypal for all transactions online. However, if you do feel uncomfortable with an online transaction, do contact us via email at orders@designupasia.com and we will make arrangements to offer you another method of purchasing our lovely goods.

Are my personal details safe with Design Up Asia?

Design Up Asia uses a safe e-commerce platform and we do not store any credit card details. Your information would only be retained to communicate our timely offers and events. However, if you wish, at any time, for us to remove your personal details from our database, please contact us at orders@designupasia.com. However, we may have third-party links for your convenience; we are not liable for how they use your personal details.

When will my order arrive?

Your product will be shipped within 5 working days of placing your order. Local shipping in Singapore takes approximately 2-3 working days. International shipping can take 6-15 working days. All in, your order will arrive about a week for local and 2 weeks to a month or more for overseas order. We can’t be responsible if the shipping is delayed due to transit stress such as festive times. Beyond these times, do contact us to check about your delivery.

What is the return/exchange policy?

We currently do not entertain any exchanges or returns after the goods have been officially accepted by you. There would be some minor variations of your goods from any pictures depicted on the website or any other sources. However, if at the point of delivery, you deem the goods to be defective, damaged or not according to your order, you may reject the delivery and we will follow up with you for either a replacement or refund, whichever deemed suitable. All products sold are non-refundable, unless not fit for purpose.

What if my goods are damaged or defective?

Depending on the types of metals, natural variations of the colour will occur over time. We ensure that your jewellery are in good condition prior to delivery. In the event that you discover that the jewellery is damaged or faulty on delivery, please notify us within 7 working days of receiving the goods. The replacement will occur within 7 working days upon receiving your notification and all faulty products should have the labels intact in order to qualify for exchange.

What are the available payment methods?

You may pay via credit card through Paypal. We also accept alternative methods of payment, upon your request. Please do indicate your preference during orders and we would contact you for further details.
